Purpose of the position

- What will happen if there is no one in the position (no one performs the work)
Responsible for planning and conducting Full vehicle Crash & Sled testing, perform detailed analysis of test, prepared report and provide design solution to achieve the performance target requirements for the product being tested for all the PV and EV programs.
Some of the key tasks to be performed by the employee are:
- Identifying test requirements and understand the gaps in meeting performance criteria's as per the target safety assessment requirements.
- Evaluate data against known criteria's - using crash test analysis software's like Diadem, PC evaluation, High speed motion analysis, CMM data.
- Working with Design/CAE teams to understand the feasibility of performance improvement solution.
- Ensure the latest regulations requirements are captured in the test process requirements.
If no one is appointed in this position then the team will not have direction/ownership to perform tests, perform detailed analysis of test results and provide solutions to meet performance target requirements. Also there will be no one to liaison between CAE and testing team.
